Belts are the 'it' accessories in women's fashion at the moment. Everywhere women are walking around with massive belts over the top of their shirts, coats and dresses. The hottest fashion accessory right now is wide belts in either patent, leather, suede materials. Red belts, dark colours or anything with a print or pattern is especially popular. To wear think high under the breast bone, this will accentuate your top half, especially over a sundress or t-shirt dress. A wide belt positions high on the torso of a woman with an hourglass figure is very flattering. This look also looks gorgeous on thinner women. Or wear your belt on your hips with your favourite jeans. Belts are great for dressing an outfit up or down or to spice up your regular garments.
Men's Belts
For business men the only thing you must remember to do is match your belt with the colour of your shoes. The best colours for dress wear are black and rich brown. Another thing to remember men do not wear your dress belt with jeans and sneakers. But when you're wearing sneakers and jeans the options for your belt's colour, thickness and buckle are limitless. There is now a range of great designer belts and buckles for men.
Belt Buckles
Wearing a patterned belt buckle as a fashion accessory has really grown in prominence over the past five years. The conventional belt buckle is still the classiest for corporate attire but for casual wear removable and elaborate belt buckles are the rage. Popular themes for belt buckles are Western cowboy or cowgirl designs and precious rhinestone decorations.
Brooches
Similarly to the belt buckles, ornate and rhinestone brooches are hugely popular. Rhinestone brooches are made in a range of coloured stones so you can find one to match your outfit. Brooches can add that final touch to your outfit and are great for drawing attention away from other areas.
Cuffs
Cuff links add class to your designer suits and you can find one to reflect your personality. For example poker fans might have a set of cards on their cuffs. Or you could choose very simple and classy designs to match your belt, shoes and other accessories.
